Two Words: World Class. Our trip was a dream come true. We were collected on Carriacou, then sailed to Union Island, Mayreau, Tobago Cays, Palm Island and then back to Carriacou. The Boat: Beautifully clean, loving details throughout, rich with history, in gorgeous sea-worthy condition, spacious, every detail has been thought of and seen to. We even had a warm bath on christmas eve in the beautiful claw-foot tub – it was a surreal experience. The 78 ft. boat is large enough to offer privacy, yet has a warm and intimate feel. The Hosts: Marc and Ivonne are experienced and very professional. They are hard working throughout your charter to ensure a safe, smooth and enjoyable trip, while at the same time being friendly, inviting and more than happy to share their local knowledge. They are clearly very experienced sailors – I had every confidence in their sea-faring capacities. They are happy to share their love and knowledge of sailing with guests. Although our hosts were social and friendly – they clearly specialize in couples as they were very discreet and there was ample privacy. The Food: Ivonne is somewhat of a wiz in the kitchen. The food was carefully and thoughtfully prepared using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, with an eye towards health. Each meal was delicious and satisfying. The surroundings: I mean…what can I say…we swam with green turtles and sting rays, went for SCUBA dives and saw nurse sharks, stopped for beers on Happy Island and watched the kite surfers, hiked up Mayreau and were collected on the other side and snorkeled to out hearts content – it’s paradise. This was a trip of a lifetime for us and I cannot recommend it more highly.

WOW! Where to start?! Marc and Ivonne were absolutely delightful! Marc’s knowledge of the sea, sailing and the cardibean not to be outdone by Ivonne’s warmth and kindness. And the dogs! We loved Mango and Sugar so much – such sweet animals that loved to cuddle and sail. This was one of our all time favorite adventures. Having lived in Grenada for a few years we wanted to see the Tobego Cays and the Grenadines and show my husband’s brother a part of the world he had never seen. That’s ALL I had to tell Marc and Ivonne. They crafted and organized a sailing adventure of our dreams. The boat was absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and so unique. Sleeping quarters were comfortable and cozy and the bathroom was so cool! Check out the pictures! It is obvious how much they take pride in their business. Ivonne’s cooking – unbelievable! She has a true gift and the food that she prepared was by far better than anything we ate on shore during the second half of our vacation. There was never a time that we felt unsafe both while sailing and anchored, this is secondary to Marc’s extensive sailing history. We laughed, we swam, we napped and we explored! If you are looking for a relaxing – yet exciting, unplugged, beautiful adventure; this is the trip for you! I could really go on and on about how much we enjoyed our time and I recommend the Corsair one million times over!

All I can say is the two days sailing with Marc and Ivonne created memories that we won’t soon forget! Both Marc and Ivonne are wonderful hosts from Marc and his years of knowledge sailing the Grenadines to Ivonne and her delicious home cooking. Their new boat Corsair has a lot of history and character and was one of our favorite boats in all of the bays we anchored. We snorkeled everyday, swam to deserted beaches, and visited rum shacks only accessible by boat! Their dogs Mango and Sugar are wonderful mascots that took quickly to us and kept us company on deck as well as swimming and playing with us on the beach. Waking in the morning and coming top side to greet the morning and watch the sunrise was amazing each morning, and watching the sunsets were sublime. The two days we spent aboard Corsair were absolutely two of the most relaxing and incredible days we have ever had and we can’t thank Marc and Ivonne enough for their hospitality!

It has been a few days since we disembarked from Corsair. Last night, my husband said, “I feel like I’ve been through a break-up.” He went on to note, “I met this really amazing girl, but didn’t get enough time to spend with her.” Corsair leaves a lasting impression. She was given a new life, through the hard work and entreupentrial spirit of German-born owners, Marc and Ivonne. Her history is as intense as her beauty. Once a shrimp boat from Biloxi, Mississippi, and now a ship that sails the Caribbean, she has been restored with modern amenities that would accommodate even the most discerning guest. (Guests have USB ports in their sleeping quarters.) While sitting in an antique claw foot tub, the star of Corsair’s bow, Marc oriented us to Corsair. All you need to know when considering booking Corsair, is that she stays true to her history, and doesn’t need a gimmick to impress. She is comfortable for sunbathing, welcoming guests back from a snorkel or dive, kayaking, entertaining, or relaxing. Marc and Ivonne are knowledgeable about the sea, fantastic chefs, and just might make you feel like you’ve been able to take part in what feels like a tamer version of a real-life Robinson Crusoe adventure. But if you’d rather just sail the seas and read a book, they are happy to accommodate any type of vacation or occasion you have in mind. Corsair is also perfect for a day charter. I encourage anyone thinking about booking Corsair to do it now, because her charms will quickly be discovered by Grenada’s growing tourism. We will not hesitate to book another adventure again.

What can I say. Third holiday with Marc and Ivonne, first trip with the Corsair – it was great again. Great boat, dear friends and again a great and relaxing time on the sea. I like you so much and miss you and Mango and Sugar already infinitely. I’ll be back soon.

I loved this short trip so much, I absolutely must return later this year! Marc and Ivonne are so pleasant and hospitable and their boat is simply gorgeous. Grenada offers so much: gorgeous (secret) beaches, superb snorkeling and spectacular sunsets, to mention a few. And the food!! I cannot recommend higher 🙂
